Eating New Zealand is designed to collect as little personal information as practical.

Ordinary browsing

The current site does not use advertising trackers, embedded maps or third-party analytics. External business websites receive information only when you choose to follow a link.

Restaurant submissions

The submission form prepares an email in your own email application. Form details are not first sent to Eating New Zealand's website or a third-party form processor. The message is delivered only when you review it and press send.

Information supplied is used to review a new listing, correction or closure report. Contact details will not be published unless the submitter explicitly asks for them to form part of a public business listing.

Directory information

Business names, categories, addresses, websites and public contact information are directory data rather than information about private individuals. Correction and removal requests are supported.

Site credits

The visual foundation of this rebuild was adapted from Chalet by Antoine Grange, used under the MIT License. It has since been substantially redesigned for Eating New Zealand. The required copyright and licence notice remains included with the site source.
